Most likely not a fake. ;) Same thing happened when the new Maller was posted on these forums months before it popped up on the test server. Everybody called it a fake due to the sub standard textures and design. But as with the Maller, I'm assuming this one was also rendered with an 3rd party app for display and does not include the actual textures and materials. On another note, if you look at it from the side it has many of the same characteristics of the Caracal's hull in how the main body connects to the cockpit thingy.
Agreed. To kill the enemy and break their toys!

Now that.... is a damn shame.

I hate to say this, but just because it's a prototype doesn't mean it will ever make it in game.
That being said, I really rather prefer this one to the old.
If only the Kestrel hull would receive the same type of facelift. My Caldari SB pilot would be my favorite for quite awhile.

Also keep in mind that the "cockpit" area actually is probably more accurately described as the "command deck" area, and could easily be a few stories tall (covering perhaps multiple floors).
We are just preconditioned to expect something like that to be a cover over a single pilot (or two) like it is in fighters. To kill the enemy and break their toys!

Yeah I know, this whole "continuity in design" thing is getting WAY out of hand.... To kill the enemy and break their toys!

E'lyna Mis Dimaloun wrote:Terrible. Asymmetry is what gives caldari it's charm - crow is one of the most beautiful ships due to its model and paint job, and now people want to trade it for this generic thing?
Asymmetry in a ship that has a wing like design is very, very tricky to pull off well. The Scorpion for example looked and turned like a peg legged drunk staggering home in a high wind, while the Raven (especially now) pulls it off quite nicely.
The Crow was never a ship I had a problem with in this department. That being said, even symmetrical this model is vastly superior to the old one. It simply looks more dangerous, although part of that is the really nice design of the cockpit area.
